Pictorial Melbourne

I really love living in Melbourne everyone knows to meet under the clocks at Flinders St in the time before all had a mobile phone in hand or to ear co-ordinating meetings or the Fed Square option.

rock balancing

One  piece of rock art that i came across while walking the beaches along the Great Ocean Road

i am back

arrived home yesterday arvo from camping and set about washing the campfire smoke from my clothes and bedding. the holiday down the Great Ocean Road to Blanket Bay was brilliant . i communed with nature saw amazing things and walked in rain forests and fell asleep to the crashing of waves as my sound scape. Meals were cooked on the campfire and local indigenous plants were part of the menu Warrigal Greens were a tasty addition to the Dahls and soups.
Perfect camp spot til the harmony was shattered by a family of 8 setting up a village just meters away
the coastline was amazing and we found all manner of sea dwelling creatures at low tide

the fern gullys were a far cry from the city life i currently lead
and at high tide the crash waves on the headlands was mesmerizing and the waterfalls were always worth the walk into the rain forest

It was all in the timing apparently, as we arrived down the coast the week before school hols start so the beaches were deserted and few were on the walking tracks .Plenty of Waterfalls to be snapped and the weather was perfect the shoreline revealed Abalone, Sea Urchins and a multitude of various kelp,
